Notice Title
HAR6107 Albert Jacob House Main Works
Notice Description
The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking a main works contractor to carry out agreed works for the proposed new mixed-use scheme of 53 residential homes for affordable rent and 5 retail units. The proposed scheme relates to the redevelopment of a cleared site, where the former office building has already been demolished. The new development will deliver fifty-three affordable homes arranged from ground to ninth floor, approximately 350 square metres of flexible Class E commercial space at ground floor level, and communal landscaped areas alongside wider public realm improvements. The scheme meets the definition of a High-Risk Building under the Building Safety Act, and the design has been refined to ensure alignment with current HRB regulatory requirements.
Planning Information
Interested suppliers should read the Market Engagement Brief for an overview of the projects involved and complete the Eventbrite form to secure attendance to the Capital Projects Market Engagement Event 11am-2pm on Tuesday 24th March 2026 at the Grocers Wing, LBTH Town Hall. The event will include further information regarding up coming LBTH projects, including specific sites and values of projects, timelines, input from the procurement team, Q&A and opportunities to network. Following the Market Engagement Event suppliers are asked to submit responses to a supplier questionnaire if they would like to be considered for a follow up 1:1 session with members of the Capital Delivery team. The information gathered will help shape upcoming tender documentation, procurement strategies and delivery expectations across the programme. Please refer to the Market Engagement Brief for the supplier questionnaire and further instructions.
