The contracting process initiated by Jisc is in the planning stage, focusing on evaluating potential solutions for a Security Operations Centre (SOC). This engagement concerns IT services, specifically in consulting, software development, Internet, and support. This procurement initiative presents opportunities for businesses specialising in IT services and security solutions to contribute expertise and potentially influence future tenders. As Jisc assesses future platform options for its SOC, companies with innovative security technologies and experience in the education and research sector are well-positioned to participate. This engagement, while not directly resulting in an immediate contract award, allows businesses to present their solutions and align with Jisc's strategic direction, fostering long-term collaboration and growth in public sector partnerships.
