Works under this contract include the removal of asbestos containing materials from Housing properties, including enabling and remedial electrical works, the contract was varied to allow for the reinstatement of ceilings following removal in tenanted properties. The proposal for the procurement is to include within the scope of the contract for enabling and remedial works for all asbestos removals and for the reinstatement of ceilings following removals.

Leicester City Council ('the Council') would like to seek views and engagement from the market regarding this project. This project would be for the Removal of Asbestos containing materials. Works under this contract include the removal of asbestos containing materials from Housing properties, including enabling and remedial electrical works,. The contract will also include the reinstatement of ceilings following removal in tenanted properties. The proposed contract will be for an initial term of 3 years with the option to extend for up to two years. The requirements have been split into the following Lots: Lot 1 – Asbestos Removal Routine Works (Humberston & Rowlatts Hill, Central). Lot 2 – Asbestos Removal Routine Works (Beaumont Leys, New Parks). Lot 3 – Asbestos Removal Routine Works (Saffron, Eyres Monsell and Braunstone).
