Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Lewisham is planning a procurement titled "Lewisham Advice Services" within the services category. The aim is to commission a borough-wide, integrated advice service focusing on areas such as welfare benefits, debt, housing, and immigration. The process is currently in the planning stage, with a market engagement event scheduled for 20 May 2026. This session will take place at Catford House, London, and organisations interested in participating need to register by 12pm on 18 May 2026. The estimated contract value is up to £950,000 per annum, with an initial term of two years starting from April 2027, potentially extending up to three years. The procurement process is anticipated to open in July 2026, culminating in the start of services on 1 April 2027.

This tender offers significant business growth opportunities for service providers, particularly those with expertise in delivering social work or related services. Companies capable of offering high-quality advice and multi-channel access will find this project particularly suited to their strengths. The opportunity to act as a strategic lead for community-led advice services will appeal to businesses looking to expand their influence and partnerships across the voluntary and community sector. Small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations are especially encouraged to compete, as the procurement encourages participation from such entities. The engagement and impending procurement present a chance to contribute to community welfare while fostering business prosperity.
