Summary of the contracting process

The Cabinet Office is planning a procurement for advertising and media buying services, under an Open Contracting Data Standard tender process. This initiative, titled "Advertising & Media Buying," is part of the Government Recruitment Service's efforts to enhance talent attraction across the UK Civil Service. The contracting process is currently in the planning stage, with an indicative timeline anticipated for tender commencement in mid-April 2026, and the award expected in early June 2026. The procurement belongs to the services category, specifically targeting advertising and marketing services, with a substantial contract value estimated at just under £5 million. The main delivery is to be within the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in advertising, media buying, and creative design, particularly those with a broad reach across diverse media platforms. Companies that can provide comprehensive campaign planning, expert advice, and creative development while maintaining adaptability to fluctuating workflow demands will find this procurement promising. Registered suppliers within the RM6124 Communications Marketplace framework will have an advantage, as the tender could proceed through this route, coordinated by Crown Commercial Services or the Cabinet Office & HM Treasury Commercial Team. Businesses ready to engage in large-scale, flexible media campaigns and meet government accessibility standards will be well-suited for this opportunity.
