Summary of the contracting process

MAG Airport Limited is actively engaged in the procurement process for insurance broker services, with the tender recently updated on 14th April 2026. The contract aims to establish a long-term partnership with a specialist insurance broker to support Manchester Airport Group's operations within a complex commercial and regulatory environment. The tender is categorised under insurance brokerage services, and potential vendors are required to participate in a competitive flexible procedure. The procurement is currently in the 'Tender' stage with the next critical deadline for expressing interest set for 11th May 2026. The contract, valued at £3 million, entails multiple risk transfer services essential to MAG’s strategic objectives and operational continuity. Businesses need to submit their interest via the SAP Ariba portal, ensuring compliance with procedural terms specified by MAG's procurement team.

This tender provides an excellent opportunity for insurance brokers with a significant capacity for advising on risk strategy and managing diverse insurance programmes. Prospective bidders should be financially stable, accredited, and possess proficiency in areas such as property damage, business interruption, cyber risks, liability, and engineering inspections. As the procurement method is selective, the procedure includes a series of pre-qualification questionnaires, negotiations, and final offers, demanding high technical expertise and commercial acumen. This contract spans an initial period of five years with extensions possible, offering substantial business growth potential for qualifying companies. Vendors with an impressive track record in dealing with dynamic insurance environments will find their skills well-aligned to the demands of MAG's strategic operations. The procurement also promises flexibility, allowing MAG to potentially expand the services procured to new airport acquisitions.
