Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Hillingdon is currently in the tender stage of procuring SEND Disagreement Resolution and Mediation Services. The procurement process is under the Competitive Flexible Procedure and is scheduled to end on 3rd August 2026. This service focuses on providing independent resolution and mediation services for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families. The contract, valued at £556,800, spans over eight years with an annual review. It is a significant opportunity for businesses in the health and social work services sector, particularly those located in the UKI74 region of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents substantial business growth opportunities for entities specialising in health and social services. It is particularly suited for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) with a track record of providing similar services to local authorities. Eligibility requires a minimum annual turnover of £139,200 and established financial standing, as well as proof of relevant experience. Companies capable of delivering adaptable and responsive services, especially in light of legislative changes such as those introduced by the 'Schools White Paper 2026: Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Reform', will find this a pivotal chance to expand their operations.
