Summary of the contracting process

Respect Collaboration Trust commissioned alternative education for children of compulsory school age who, because of suspension, exclusion or other circumstances, would not otherwise receive suitable education. The service provides appropriate education outside mainstream school, with provision tailored to pupils’ requirements. It covers education and training services, including course delivery, attendance management, progress tracking, outcomes monitoring, safeguarding and support for reintegration. The Trust is based at Bridge Street School in Derby, and the service is delivered within the Trust’s area. It is anticipated that places will be purchased on an ad hoc basis, dependant on the pupil's requirements and capacity of the best value provider.
