Summary of the contracting process

The Regional Business Services Organisation Procurement and Logistics Service is in the planning stage of a procurement process for the CAWT PEACEPLUS Healthier Futures Project, aimed at implementing community-based early intervention health improvement programmes within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SHSCT) and Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT) areas in Northern Ireland. This initiative falls under the health and social work services category and will focus on increasing physical activity, healthy eating, and behaviour change to address overweight and obesity. Interested suppliers are invited to participate in a Pre-Market Engagement exercise, with submissions due by 8th May 2026 at 15:00. A virtual information session will be held on 12th May 2026, offering potential participants further insights into the project. The full tender documentation is expected to be available on etendersni.gov.uk by 5th June 2026.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in health and community services, as well as wellness and miscellaneous health services, to expand their operations within Northern Ireland. The focus on early intervention programmes provides a myriad of business growth opportunities for firms proficient in delivering services that promote physical activity, nutrition, and health literacy. Suppliers with expertise in these areas, particularly those with experience in community service provision, are well-suited to compete for this project. Engaging in the Pre-Market Engagement exercise will allow businesses to gain valuable insights into sector requirements and align their offerings with the needs outlined by the SHSCT and WHSCT contracting authorities.
