Summary of the contracting process

The Centre for Process Innovation Limited established a framework for mass spectrometry equipment and related support across all its sites. The requirement covers supply, servicing, maintenance, parts, technical support and training for mass spectrometers. It is divided into five areas: new equipment supply, servicing and support for existing Waters equipment, servicing and support for existing Thermo Fisher Scientific equipment, servicing and support for existing Agilent equipment, and servicing and support for existing Hiden equipment. This is primarily a goods requirement for new equipment and a technical maintenance service for installed instruments. The work is associated with CPI’s sites, with the buyer based at the Wilton Centre in Redcar. Awards were made on 18 August 2026. Agilent Technologies UK, Bruker UK, Hiden Analytical, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Waters were awarded Lot 1. Lots 2 and 3 were awarded to Agilent and Waters or Thermo Fisher respectively; Agilent won Lots 4 and 5. Contracts were signed between 3 and 18 September 2026 and run to 6 September 2030.
