Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (SCTS), headquartered in Edinburgh, is currently in the planning stage for a procurement process to provide staff uniforms across Scottish courts and tribunals. The tender, titled "Provision of Staff Uniforms," falls under the industry category of "Occupational clothing, special workwear and accessories." The procurement process is slated to formally commence with the publication of the Invitation to Tender in the summer of 2026, with market engagement initiated through this Prior Information Notice. Suppliers interested in this opportunity should take note of the planned communication regarding future notice dates set for 24th August 2026. This initiative requires delivery of goods across various regions in Scotland, in line with public procurement regulations.

This tender opportunity offers significant growth potential for businesses specialising in high-quality workwear and uniform solutions. It invites suppliers capable of tailoring products to meet specific needs, including climatic variations and sizing inclusivity, which must encompass a range of body shapes and maternity wear. Businesses that excel in branding, sustainability, and supply chain logistics, particularly those with an established presence in Scotland, are well-positioned to benefit from this procurement. The requirement to deliver and manage uniforms across Scotland necessitates a robust logistics framework, and suppliers who can implement a dedicated platform for uniform orders may gain a competitive edge. Engaging in this tender could open doors to long-term partnerships with a regional authority seeking to integrate quality and sustainability within its uniform provision.
