Purchase of audiological equipment.

Procurement Information

Direct replacement of established equipment used in all outpatient audiology clinics. Replacement with devices from a different supplier would lead to compatibility issues with other existing devices within the service, which would then also require replacing. This would result in a significant cost implication to the Trust. Requirement for compatibility with the patient management system. Requirement of compatibility with existing software systems, required for the direct comparison of patient results from repeat visits. Requirement of compatibility with the in-house audiometry equipment calibration service. Requirement for compatibility with audiometry equipment used at local trust, where STH clinicians also work under an SLA using the same equipment. Devices from an alternative supplier have previously been procured in said local trust.
