Provision of Reoccupation Packing, Transport, and Installation of Town Hall Collections
Notice Description
The Council engaged with specialist fine art and antiques transport companies in a two-way conversation which enabled potential bidders to make an informed bid/no bid decision and enable the Council to test the appetite and capacity in the marketplace for this commission. Part of that conversation included an exploration of experience of working on similar projects, views on the proposed approach to the transport and installation of collections back into the Town Hall for 2026. The market testing included exploring the following aspects of the transport and install project: Capacity in market Scheduling, programme and lead in times Logistics - transport, capacity Budget Social Value Insurance Identification of particular specialisms of your organisation (to help inform the work package strategy)
Planning Information
A questionnaire was issued out to participants for them to complete and return via email to the Town Hall Project email. The companies chose whether they participated in the exercise and non participation did not preclude them from tendering for the package when it is released to the market. The information which was obtained has been used to consider whether the package requires sub division, the budget and programme and potential lead in times.
