Summary of the contracting process

The Together Housing Association Limited, a public undertaking and charitable housing association based in Halifax, UK, is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for the provision of all classes of general insurance (non-life) cover. The tender aims to identify capable and experienced suppliers of insurance services for their extensive social housing stock managed across the North of England. Key dates include a deadline for suppliers to express interest and submit a market engagement questionnaire by 22nd June 2026. Follow-up discussions may occur from 23rd June to further refine the tender approach. The procurement will eventually lead to contracts starting on 1st April 2027 and concluding by 31st March 2032, covering regions including UKD and UKE.

This tender presents valuable opportunities for insurance providers and brokers, particularly those experienced in large-scale housing or public sector contracts. With Together Housing managing over 38,000 properties and affecting the lives of more than 80,000 individuals, there is a significant market capacity and demand for reliable insurance services. Companies with expertise in delivering diverse insurance coverage can potentially expand their business scope and establish a long-term partnership with a prominent social housing entity. The endeavour to understand market capacity and appetite through this engagement demonstrates Together Housing's commitment to a comprehensive procurement strategy, beneficial to well-equipped industry players.
