Summary of the contracting process

The Crofty Education Trust, situated in Camborne, Cornwall, has initiated a tender for the "Provision of Supply Agency Services" with submissions due by 13th July 2026. This procurement, valued at £6,500,000 net (£7,800,000 gross), involves securing a supply agency to provide both emergency and planned absence cover for teachers and teaching assistants across their schools. Using an open procedure, this tender falls under the services category and aligns with the CPV code 79620000, covering personnel supply and temporary staff services. Prospective suppliers should note the tender period deadline, as well as the engagement and award periods closing on 1st July and 10th August 2026, respectively, with the contract expected to commence on 31st October 2026.

This opportunity is well-suited for businesses specialising in educational staffing solutions, particularly those with experience in multi-site service delivery. The Trust is looking to appoint a single provider capable of flexibility and adapting to potential Trust expansions. SMEs are encouraged to apply, provided they meet economic and technical standards as outlined in the selection criteria. The tender process supports business growth by potentially fulfilling long-term contracts and possibly extending the contract for up to five years with additional categories and Trust expansions. This tender represents an excellent opportunity for staffing agencies to establish a foothold or expand their presence in the educational sector within the UK.
