THE PROVISION OF SPECIALIST TRAINERS TO SUPPORT HSE IN THE DELIVERY OF THEIR COMMERCIAL TRAINING AND EVENTS
Notice Description
HSE previously ran a procurement exercise, in September 2023, to appoint suppliers to a framework. This opportunity is to allow new and previously appointed providers to bid for a place on a similar framework for the existing and new courses, as well as some new ones that have been added. HSE is looking to appoint several suppliers to a supplementary framework to provide specialist training support for their commercial health and safety training and events. HSE wishes to draw on relevant topic-specific specialists who meet specific criteria on an ad hoc, call-off basis, as required.
Lot Information
Asbestos - Management in Buildings (LOT 2)
A recognised qualification in occupational hygiene; and/or significant demonstrable knowledge and experience of within occupational hygiene. In-depth experience of HSE, its directorates and its role as Great Britain's regulator for workplace health and safety. Experience of being an expert witness in relevant topic.
BSR: Introduction to the building safety regulator and building safety act (LOT 3)This course will provide an overview of how the Act has arisen, the aims and objectives of the new legislation and the role of the BSR.
Creating a safety culture of excellence (LOT 4)A recognised qualification in psychology or other relevant human factors subject; and/or significant demonstrable experience in a senior leadership and/or psychology role.
COMAH: compliance for lower tier establishments (LOT 7)A recognised qualification in a relevant science/engineering subject; and significant demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in this area. A detailed knowledge and understanding of the COMAH Regulations 2015 and their practical application in industry.
HSE inspector's guide to risk management (LOT 16)Must have undertaken HSE regulatory training programme. In-depth experience of HSE, its directorates and its role as Great Britain's regulator for workplace health and safety.
Human factors in accident and incident investigations (LOT 17)A recognised qualification in psychology or other relevant human factors topic; and/or significant demonstrable experience in a senior psychology/incident investigation role. In-depth experience of HSE, its directorates and its role as Great Britain's regulator for workplace health and safety.
Hydrogen: the fundamentals (LOT 18)A recognised qualification in a relevant science/engineering subject; and significant demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in this area. Strong working knowledge of associated regulations including DSEAR and COMAH.
NEBOSH HSE award in managing risks and risk assessment at work (RAW) (LOT 25)NEBOSH National or International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and/or an equivalent recognised qualification in health and safety. In-depth experience of HSE, its directorates and its role as Great Britain's regulator for workplace health and safety. Demonstrable experience of compiling, implementing and reviewing risk assessments and control measures.
NEBOSH HSE certificate in health and safety leadership excellence (LOT 26)A recognised qualification in leadership, management or psychology; and/or significant demonstrable experience in a senior leadership and/or psychology role.
NEBOSH HSE certificate in managing stress at work (LOT 27)A recognised qualification in leadership, management or psychology; and/or significant demonstrable experience in a senior leadership and/or psychology role. The Trainer's experience/ qualifications must match the NEBOSH MSW syllabus.
NEBOSH HSE introduction to incident investigation (LOT 29)NEBOSH National or International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and/or an equivalent recognised qualification in health and safety. In-depth experience of HSE, its directorates and its role as Great Britain's regulator for workplace health and safety. Demonstrable incident investigation experience.
Noise and Vibration (LOT 30)A recognised qualification in occupational hygiene; and/or Significant demonstrable knowledge and experience of noise and vibration within occupational hygiene. A detailed knowledge and understanding of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 and/or Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005, and their practical application in industry. Experience of being an expert witness in relevant topic.
Pressure Systems Awareness (LOT 31)A recognised qualification in a relevant science/engineering subject; and significant demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in this area. A detailed knowledge and understanding of the HSE Pressure Systems regulations and their practical application in industry.
Hand arm vibration - Management in the workplace (LOT 37)A recognised qualification in occupational hygiene; and/or Significant demonstrable knowledge and experience of noise and vibration within occupational hygiene (similar to Lot 30). A detailed knowledge and understanding of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 and/or Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005, and their practical application in industry. Experience of being an expert witness in relevant topic.
Work-related stress: developing manager capability (LOT 38)The Trainer's experience/ qualifications must match the Work Related stress- Developing manager capability syllabus.
BSR: Developing accompanying documents for the building control process (LOT 39)This course will provide an overview of how to develop the accompanying documents for the building control elements for buildings within scope of the Act. These include the construction control plan, change control plan, building regulations compliance statement, fire and emergency file, competence declaration and mandatory occurrence reporting proposals.
BSR: Introduction to the role of accountable persons and principal accountable persons, (LOT 40)This course will provide an overview of how the Act has arisen, the aims and objectives of the new legislation and the role of the accountable person (AP) and principal accountable person (PAP) in the management of buildings within scope of the Act.
BSR: Introduction to the role client, principal designer and principal contractor * (LOT 41)This course will provide an overview of how the Building Safety Act has arisen, the aims and objectives of the new legislation and the role of clients, designers and contractors within the building control process.
