Summary of the contracting process

Kingston and Richmond Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is planning a procurement process for the development of a new main entrance at Kingston Hospital, located in Kingston Upon Thames, United Kingdom. This project, termed the Main Entrance Development Programme, is currently at the planning stage and involves a preliminary market engagement exercise to gather feedback on delivery, funding, and commercial models. The aim is to explore a third-party funded, off-balance-sheet solution. The procurement process is expected to proceed with future notices from 1st September 2026. Interested organisations can participate in optional site visits scheduled for 3rd and 7th July 2026. Feedback via a Market Engagement Questionnaire must be submitted by 12:00 noon on 8th July 2026.

This tender provides an excellent opportunity for businesses involved in building construction work, particularly those capable of offering innovative funding and delivery models. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), are encouraged to engage, given the project's suitability for these types of organisations. With a substantial budget of £10 million, this development project offers significant growth prospects for businesses looking to establish or expand connections within the healthcare infrastructure sector. Engaging in the initial market engagement phase can position companies to align with the future procurement strategy, potentially leading to competitive advantages during the formal tendering stage.
