DIRECT AWARD OF REMAINING CONSTRUCTION WORKS FOLLOWING CONTRACTOR INSOLVENCY

Procurement Information

Following contract award and commencement of the works, the appointed contractor entered insolvency. As a consequence, RBG Kew has terminated the contract in accordance with its contractual rights. The works are partially complete and require immediate continuation to avoid prolonged disruption to the project, protect Kew's assets and maintain programme delivery. Kew has considered the available procurement options and has concluded that a direct award represents the most appropriate and proportionate course of action.
