Notice Title
National Framework for Woodland Creation Vegetation Management
Notice Description
Forestry England is seeking to engage with the market in relation to the provision of vegetation management services to support a national woodland creation programme funded by Defra through to 2029/30. The requirement covers multiple sites across England (currently approximately 30), including both newly planted and established woodland, and includes activities such as mechanical and chemical weed control, row mowing, and invasive species management. Forestry England is exploring options for a flexible, scalable delivery model (potentially via a framework or similar arrangement) to improve consistency and efficiency across sites. The organisation is also interested in understanding market capability, capacity, and opportunities for innovation, including the use of automated or AI-enabled solutions. This preliminary market engagement is intended to inform the development of the procurement strategy and future tender approach.
Planning Information
The engagement will be used to better understand market capacity, capability, and interest in delivering the required services across multiple sites Feedback gathered will help refine the scope, packaging strategy (including use of lots or a framework), delivery approach, and procurement timelines, as well as identify any innovations or risks that should be considered prior to commencing the formal tender process. We invite companies from the market to register their interest in this future requirement and provide feedback on potential clarifications and the feasibility of our emerging plans. Please register your interest with commercial.services@forestryengland.uk by close of business Monday 13th July 2026.
