Summary of the contracting process

Digital Health & Care Wales, a public authority under central government and operating within Welsh devolved regulations, is preparing to launch a tender for a Google Cloud Platform - Products & Services Framework Agreement. This procurement aims to support their long-term digital, data, and analytics strategy through the provision of Google cloud-based products and services. DHCW's primary location is in Cardiff, Wales, and the procurement is in the planning stage, with a key deadline for the submission of pre-qualitative questionnaire responses set for 14 July 2026. The process is above the procurement threshold and involves a framework agreement with the potential for renewal, starting from 26 December 2026 and potentially running until December 2032.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialising in IT services, consulting, software development, Internet solutions, and support, to engage with a major public sector client. SMEs will find this tender particularly suitable due to the emphasis on partnership working and the need for technical expertise to support the integration and operation of cloud services. Engaging with this framework can facilitate business growth through long-term collaboration and the possibility of participating in the broader digital transformation initiatives of the Welsh health sector.
