Notice Description

Guildford Borough Council is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced consultancy providers to support the delivery of the Weyside Urban Village (WUV) regeneration programme, one of the Council's largest and most significant regeneration projects. Weyside Urban Village is a major mixed-use regeneration scheme that will deliver approximately 1,550 new homes, including affordable housing, together with commercial and retail space, community facilities, strategic infrastructure, public open space and environmental enhancements. The procurement is divided into two Lots: Lot 1 - Strategic Lead Provision of strategic programme leadership and advisory services, including programme governance, funding and compliance management, business case and assurance oversight, strategic stakeholder engagement, programme coordination and support for the successful delivery of the Council's regeneration objectives. Lot 2 - Development Manager Provision of development management services to support the planning and operational delivery of the programme, including coordination of design, procurement and construction activities, management of consultants and contractors, land disposal, estate management planning and the coordination of multiple delivery workstreams. Tenderers may submit a tender for one or both Lots. Each Lot will be evaluated independently and the Council reserves the right to award one or both Lots to the same supplier or to different suppliers. Lot 1 - Strategic Lead

Provision of strategic programme leadership and advisory services, including programme governance, funding and compliance management, business case and assurance oversight, strategic stakeholder engagement, programme coordination and support for the successful delivery of the Council's regeneration objectives.

Renewal: The initial contract term may be extended by the Council for up to two (2) further periods of twelve (12) months each, subject to satisfactory performance, continued business need, the availability of funding, and at the Council's sole discretion. Any extension will be exercised in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
