Notice Description

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire (PCC) with Derby City Council are looking to commission a provider/s to deliver high-quality, effective domestic abuse support services for victims and survivors of all ages and genders across all levels of risk (standard, medium and high). Services must be accessible, trauma-informed and work to improve the safety of victims, supporting them to recover and move forward with their lives. Services will cover Derby City only. This service will be mobilised in two phases. Phase 1, the standard/ medium risk service, is expected to mobilise from 1 April 2027. Phase 2, for the high risk IDVA service, is expected to commence from 1 October 2027. The initial contract period will be until March 2029 with a further option of three 12-month extensions. This engagement is being undertaken to explore ideas and seek information through responses from stakeholders to: * Ensure any future services are well designed, effective and safe, delivering value for money and achieving desired outcomes * Explore options for service model delivery * Consider the advantages and disadvantages of two commissioning options * Make the best use of the combined domestic abuse support budget to best meet the needs of victims and survivors Information provided through this engagement will enable the PCC to: * Better understand the solutions, models and services to inform service design and specification development * Explore different delivery options and tender approaches * Determine the most effective way to deliver services to meet the needs of Derby city residents affected by domestic abuse.
