Summary of the contracting process

Belfast Health & Social Care Trust, with the other four Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Trusts, is procuring a regional supply and support arrangement for mechanical insufflation-exsufflation (MI-E) devices, associated consumables and ancillary services. MI-E equipment supports the clearance of bronchopulmonary secretions for patients whose cough is ineffective, using alternating positive and negative pressure. The Regional Business Services Organisation, Procurement and Logistics Service is managing the procurement and tendering on behalf of the participating Trusts. Delivery and service provision will be required across Northern Ireland, including Belfast, Antrim, Derry and Portadown.
