The Met Office intends to replace its Human Capital Management systems with a software package and information system. The market engagement is intended to help it understand the current market for HCM solutions, including available capabilities, likely costs, delivery risks and options for future procurement. The requirement is for goods, with delivery associated with the Met Office in Exeter and the wider South West England area. Suppliers of commercial HCM platforms, implementation services and related information systems are likely to be relevant, particularly those able to explain how their solutions could support a central government organisation. This procurement is at the planning stage and is currently a preliminary market engagement, not an invitation to tender. The Met Office expects to use supplier responses to refine its plans and decide whether to proceed with a future Request for Proposal or another formal procurement route.
