Summary of the contracting process

Herefordshire Council is procuring adult education and training services for learners in Herefordshire through its Adult Skills Fund. Strong applicants will need the capability to engage adult learners and deliver high-quality programmes in English, mathematics, ESOL or another relevant accredited aim. For the other lot, proposed aims must be valid and accredited, and suppliers must be able to evidence a clear local need for parenting, ICT or employability skills provision. Providers should be able to respond to the council’s priorities and priority groups, develop effective learner opportunities, and demonstrate social value through delivery. The structure allows specialist organisations to focus on a particular learning area, while providers with a broader accredited offer may be suited to the other lot.
