Summary of the contracting process

Ards and North Down Borough Council is buying parks and grounds-maintenance plant and machinery for delivery in Bangor and the surrounding borough. The requirement is divided into five lots: two mid-mount ride-on mower tractors; three front-deck ride-on mowers; one tracked woodchipper; greens machinery comprising a tractor-mounted scarifier, motorised top-dressing spreader, tractor-mounted dimple seeder and tractor-mounted groomer; and one rear-mounted flail tractor implement. This is a goods procurement covering lawn, park and sports-ground mowers, woodchipping equipment, tractor accessories and related machinery. Suppliers may bid for one lot, several lots or all five, and different suppliers may be appointed to different lots. Small and medium-sized businesses are identified as suitable for each lot.
