Cl172/0/1 C10 Overhaul Job - Brake Raft Overhaul
Notice Description
The C10 Overhaul Heavy Maintenance programme is due in 2026 to be performed on the Angel Class 172/0/1 fleet currently on a dry lease with WM Trains. As such, heavy maintenance arrangements are the responsibility of WM Trains and some of the jobs within the C10 specification WMT/172/HM Issue:1 require specialist external supplier support. An agreement with Wabtec for the Brake Raft Overhaul (job BR 0007) element of the C10 overhaul of Class 172/0/1 is required as WM Trains do not have the relevant IP to perform this.
Procurement Information

On consultation with Engineering, Porterbrook published a Brake Raft Overhaul procedure PB C10741 in October 2025 for their Class 172/2/3 fleet which contains identical brake rafts at the point of overhaul which references Wabtec overhaul specification documents (or equivalent). WMT Engineering Team have confirmed there are no equivalent published procedure documents on the central ROSCO/TOC repository for technical specifications. Wabtec Faiveley are the OEM for 3EER400011-7485, therefore they are the sole supplier with the required IP in order to overhaul the brake raft.
