Summary of the contracting process

Denbighshire County Council is inviting tenders for the "Marine Drive Reinstatement Works" project, situated in Rhyl, UK, under the category of civil engineering works. The tender process is currently active, and lies at the "tender" stage, with the deadline for submissions set for 28th August 2026. Businesses can direct any inquiries to Ethan Jones, the designated contact at the Council. This contract involves reinstating a former Balfour Beatty compound, necessitating tasks such as site clearance, excavation, and construction activities. The project's procurement method is an "open" competition below the threshold, requiring electronic submissions via Proactis.

This tender offers substantive avenues for business growth, particularly for companies skilled in civil engineering and construction activities. The contract is valued at £200,000, making it an attractive opportunity, especially for SMEs, which are given specific consideration. Businesses that can provide competitive pricing will find this bid favourable, as the evaluation criteria rest solely on price compliance. The work's relatively short contract duration, commencing on 5th September 2026 and concluding by 30th November 2026, further positions it as an ideal opportunity for firms capable of efficient and high-quality service delivery within tight timelines.
