The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire is seeking a provider for a child-focused independent domestic violence adviser (IDVA) service in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. It will support adult victim-survivors of domestic abuse involved in private family law proceedings under the Child Focused Courts model. The service covers specialist, trauma-informed support, advocacy, risk assessment and safety planning throughout court proceedings. Providers will work with Family Courts, Cafcass, local authorities and other relevant partners to identify and respond to risks early, and to help improve outcomes for children and families. This is a social support service delivered across the two counties.

The buyer invited offers through an open procedure, with electronic submission permitted. The enquiry deadline was 7 October 2026 at 5pm, and the submission deadline is 13 October 2026 at 2pm. The initial contract period runs from 14 January 2027 to 31 March 2028, with two possible 12-month extensions, each subject to external funding and approval and not guaranteed. The estimated value is £647,837 excluding VAT (£777,404.40 including VAT). There is one lot. Evaluation gives 70% to quality, 20% to price, 5% to social value quality and 5% to social value price. The planned award decision date is 19 November 2026.

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is seeking to award a Contract for the delivery of a Child Focused Courts Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA) Support Service across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The service will provide specialist, trauma-informed support, advocacy, risk assessment and safety planning for adult victim-survivors of domestic abuse who are involved in private family law proceedings within the Child Focused Courts model. The service will work closely with Family Courts, Cafcass, local authorities and other relevant partners to identify and respond to risks at an early stage, support victim-survivors throughout court proceedings, and contribute to improved outcomes for children and families. The Contract will commence on 14 January 2027 for an initial period ending 31 March 2028, with the option to extend for up to two further periods of 12 months each.
