Barcud Shared Services is planning a waste management and skip hire framework for Welsh housing associations, local authorities and other public sector organisations. The framework is intended to create a network of qualified suppliers serving public sector clients across these areas.

This procurement is at the planning stage: Barcud Shared Services has stated its intention to establish the framework, but has not yet invited tenders. It expects to publish the tender in mid-September 2026, with a further notice date indicated as 7 September 2026. Preliminary market engagement is scheduled through 4 September 2026. The expected procedure is a framework agreement with one lot, and the contract is planned to run from 2 November 2026 to 5 November 2029, with a possible extension to 30 October 2034. The framework has been designed to create a network of qualified suppliers capable of delivering a full range of waste management solutions, including skip hire, waste collection, transportation, recycling, and disposal services. We're now inviting suppliers to register their interest in joining the framework. We welcome applications from local and regional providers who can demonstrate: * Valid Waste Carrier Registration * Compliance with relevant environmental legislation and permitting requirements * Health & Safety competence * Proven capability to deliver reliable services within Wales, local to our members * Commitment to responsible waste management and recycling practices.
