Summary of the contracting process

The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is planning a single-provider service to continue the Shared Apprenticeship Scheme across South West and South East Wales. The provider will recruit new apprentices and support apprentices who began their programmes before the project starts, ensuring they can complete their qualifications. This is an education and training service, classified under CPV 80000000. Delivery covers South West and South East Wales, for apprentices and employers participating in the scheme. The procurement is intended for an organisation able to manage an apprenticeship programme, support learners through to qualification completion and coordinate delivery across both parts of Wales. The requirement is for a single provider, so suppliers should be prepared to take overall responsibility for the scheme rather than deliver only a discrete element. Notice Description

CITB are inviting bids to deliver a continuation of the existing Shared Apprenticeship Scheme covering South West and South East Wales. CITB wish to fund a single provider to deliver the Scheme from the planned point of project commencement on 1st December 2026 through to 31st March 2029. As well as new Apprentices recruited during this period, Apprentices who started their programmes before the point of project commencement must continue to be supported through to completion of their qualifications, via the funding awarded to the successful provider.
