Translink is preparing a procurement for end-user devices: office and computing machinery, equipment and supplies, including computer equipment and related supplies. The engagement is suited to suppliers of end-user computing equipment, workplace technology and associated supply-chain services. Relevant businesses are likely to include manufacturers, authorised distributors, resellers, systems integrators and managed technology providers with experience delivering devices to sizeable organisations. Useful preparation would include evidence of reliable device sourcing, product range, lifecycle management, configuration, deployment, warranty handling, asset management, technical support and secure disposal. Suppliers able to explain delivery models, lead times, stock resilience, sustainability, interoperability and support across Northern Ireland may be well placed to influence the emerging specification. The immediate commercial benefit is the chance to provide practical market intelligence before the future procurement is designed; it cannot be bid for at this stage.
