Summary of the contracting process

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Nottinghamshire intends to commission an adult sexual violence hub and therapy support service, classified as social work and related services. The service will support adults living in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire who have been sexually assaulted, raped or abused, whether recently or in the past, including abuse experienced during childhood. Support will be available to victims and survivors whether or not they have reported an incident to the police. Close relatives of victims and survivors may also be supported where appropriate. This is a public service contract for organisations able to provide specialist support, advice and therapy to adults affected by sexual violence and abuse across the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire area.

This procurement is at the planning stage: the buyer has announced an intention to procure, but this record is not an invitation to tender. It is expected to use an accelerated open procedure under the light-touch regime, with one planned lot. The buyer expects the next notice on 7 October 2026, enquiries to close on 21 October 2026 at 17:00, and tenders to close on 2 November 2026 at 09:00. An award decision is expected by 27 November 2026. The planned contract period is 1 January 2027 to 31 March 2029, with two optional 12-month extensions potentially taking the term to 31 March 2031.
