The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office intends to procure daily cleaning services for the British High Commission offices in Bridgetown, Barbados. The work is to be carried out during working hours and is intended to maintain the quality and integrity of the office and embassy space. This will suit cleaning contractors able to provide reliable, routine services in a diplomatic-office environment in Bridgetown, with staff available to work during the High Commission’s working hours. Suppliers with experience maintaining professional office premises and delivering consistent cleaning standards are likely to be well placed. The buyer specifically intends to reach established cleaning suppliers in the relevant market and is encouraging capable providers to take part in its pre-procurement engagement. That engagement is intended to explain the planned competitive process, expected timings and use of the buyer’s Jaggaer e-procurement platform for the future tender and related communications. The work is a single-site, ongoing service rather than a construction project or supply of cleaning products alone.

The British High Commission in Bridgetown is seeking to procure Cleaning Services for the High Commission offices, in order to continue to maintain the quality and integrity of Embassy space office; this works should be carried out daily, during working hours.

In addition to the publication of this Preliminary Market Engagement Notice, a number of known and established suppliers operating within the cleaning services sector in the relevant market will be contacted directly via email. If you are a supplier that can supply this service, you can contact us via AME.Procurement2@fcdo.gov.uk to express interest of participation. The purpose of this communication will be to formally notify suppliers of the Authority’s intention to commence a competitive procurement process, provide indicative timelines, and encourage participation. Suppliers contacted directly will also be provided with guidance on how to register on the Authority’s e-procurement platform (Jaggaer), which will be used to manage the forthcoming tender process and all associated communications.
