Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership-Procurement Services (hosted by Velindre University NHS Trust) has recently completed a procurement process for an "Additional Module for Existing CAD System" within the health industry category. The procurement method used was a limited procedure with the rationale of an award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The buying organisation is located in St Asaph, UK, and the procurement stage has been marked as complete with a contract value of GBP 261,034 signed on 2021-02-17.

This tender offers opportunities for suppliers, especially those in the health industry, to provide goods related to enhancing Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems. Small and medium-sized enterprises could be well-suited to compete, given that the initial procurement was focused on supporting EMS operations during the Covid-19 pandemic. The presence of a central purchasing body and the successful completion of the procurement process highlight potential avenues for business growth within NHS Wales and its related entities.
