Heather cutting on Blanket Bog - Lake Vyrnwy
Notice Description
RSPB Cymru proposes to reverse the degradation of blanket bog at Lake Vyrnwy through the removal of artificial drainage and reprofiling exposed peat hags affecting over 630 hectares of blanket bog, about two thirds of the remaining degraded area within the RSPB's FBT. It will be registered under, and completed in accordance with, the Peatland Code, a nationally recognised voluntary standard for peatland restoration work.
