Notice Description

Cardiff University, The Foxlab situated within the School of Biosciences wishes to procure a microscope which is compatible with existing rig equipment. The Foxlab studies plasticity, learning and memory in rodents. We use in vivo and in vitro approaches to studying the electrophysiology of the brain. The current tender relates to the in vitro component of our studies. The microscope needs to be capable of supporting stimulation of ChR2 present in the brain slices. We currently already have the Rapp system operating on our existing microscope and it is important that the new microscope is compatible with the kit we already have, more information is contained within the ITT documents.
