The project consists of a range of strategies which focus on disadvantage and disadvantaged pupils in schools, and these start with what Challenging Education term the uplift, a mechanism for raising the targets (and subsequently the aspirations) set for pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. This means that internal tracking data immediately flags up these pupils as underachieving and requires teachers to act in the classroom to identify and close the knowledge and skills gaps. You are welcome to submit your application in English or in Welsh, each application will be treated equally.(WA Ref:115356)
