Disability Wales / Anabledd Cymru is the national association of disabled people's organisations in Wales striving to achieve the rights and equality of all disabled people.This project will build on work previously carried out by DW in partnership with the Wales Civil Society Forum; exploring the impact of Brexit of the lives of disabled people. https://www.disabilitywales.org/projects/disabled-people-and-brexit/It aims to research the impacts and propose mitigations regarding EU withdrawal on disabled people in policy and service provision; build relationships with EU Disability Networks to share good practice and to maintain and strengthen links between Wales and Europe in line with the Welsh Government's International Strategy; and identify any opportunities for Disabled People's Organisations in replacement funding programmes with the aim of building resilience and capacity.Please note the contract ends on the 31st March 2022NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=117684.         "eligibilityCriteria": "The Consultants must have: * Knowledge, understanding of and commitment to the Social Model of Disability and its implementation. * Awareness of the strengths, abilities and experience of Disabled People from diverse communities. * Experience in undertaking and delivering research studies* Previous experience of working in the third sector* Experience of producing evaluation reports* Understanding of the political and policy making process in Wales and levers for influencing change* Knowledge of the impact of Brexit particularly on disabled people; and of the Trade and Co-operation Agreement* An understanding of the strategic context (EU and government policy and practice) and political institutions* Understanding of co-production as a method of joint working in relation to policy and practiceThe ability to: * Prioritise workload to meet agreed targets and deadlines. * Work with and relate to people with a wide range of impairments. * Ability to analyse complex policy issues, identify key issues for DW and develop messages for influencing and campaigning.* Undertake evaluation and deliver report writing through a variety of methods and techniques, taking into account the wide range of needs and experience amongst participants. * Facilitate discussion using a variety of participatory methods and be able to respond flexibly to the needs of participants on the day.* Value the rights, equality and independence of all disabled people.* Ensure disabled people are able to represent their own views and priorities, and if necessary ensure they have the right support to be able to do this.* Acknowledge and respect the cultural importance of the Welsh Language.",
