Notice Title

Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) All Wales

Notice Description

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership - Procurement Services (NWSSP-PS) are working in collaboration with the Health Boards in Wales to commission an Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) service, in line with the Mental Health Act 1983 and Mental Health (Wales) Measures 2010 (Part 4). The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (hosted by Velindre University NHS Trust) on behalf of the NHS Wales is appointing suitably qualified contractor/s of Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA) services across: Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board Hywel Dda University Health Board Powys Teaching Health Board Swansea Bay University Health Board The MHA (1983) has recently undergone an independent review, and the UK Government has responded to this review in the form of a White Paper and provide consultation on is proposal to accept, reject or amend the independent review recommendations. To enable the flexibility to deal with any proposed changes that may come about as a result of the White Paper, an additional clause has been included within the overarching terms and conditions of this agreement. This clause stipulates that should the accepted updates to the Mental Health Act cause a material change to the contract, the contract can be terminated and re-procured in line with the updates.
