Summary of the contracting process

The University of South Wales is seeking an experienced contractor to carry out refurbishment works on the Grade II listed building, Ty Crawshay, located on their Treforest campus in Pontypridd, Wales. This procurement process, which is currently at the Award stage, follows an open tender method and has recently concluded, with the contract awarded on 10th May 2022. The University of South Wales (USW) is a Higher Education establishment with facilities located on several sites across South Wales and is seeking a heritage and conservation experienced and accredited contractor to undertake external repair work on the designated Grade II Listed building located on the Treforest campus.Ty Crawshay is a designated Grade II Listed Building. (Cadw Ref: 25881. Note that listing description refers to the building as Forest House, but the contemporary name is Ty Crawshay).The listing description is available in Appendices C and also by utilising Cadw's 'Cof Cymru' database (https://cadw.gov.wales/advice-support/cof-cymru/search-cadw-records) and locating the Treforest and Glyntaff sites.
