Notice Title

Chapel Reen Sea Doors - Blockage removal

Notice Description

Emergency stabilisation works have been carried out on the Chapel Reen Sea Doors. As part of these works semi-permanent Trench boxes with a two year design life were installed on the south (tidal) side of the structure. Please see Expression of Interest document for further information and photographs.Natural Resources Wales require a suitably qualified person to:* Attend site to inspect the working area* Produce written access working method statement* Quarterly inspection of flaps to include debris clearance if required.* *Access the trench boxes and remove any blockage as and when reported by NRW. The expected service level agreement for removing any blockage from the flaps from the time of reporting would be no more than two tide cycles (24 hours - 30 hours)*It is important to note that for the duration of the contract this aspect may not be required if no blockage, that cannot be removed by remote lifting of the flaps, occurs. As best the local NRW operations staff can recall the previous flaps never blocked to the point where channel access was required. Though a maintenance regime did remove material annually. If you are interested in bidding for this work please complete the attached Expression of Interest form and return by 14:00hrs Thursday 10th March 2022 to the Project Manager Tom Hawken at tom.hawken@cyfoethnaturiolcymru.gov.ukNOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=119212.
