Notice Description

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, Procurement Services (NWSSP-ProcS), hosted by Velindre NHS Trust, are seeking to go out to competitive tender on behalf of NHS Wales for an All Wales Digital Cellular Pathology Managed Service Contract. NWSSP-ProcS would like to hold pre-tender dialogue with interested parties who are able to act as a Primary Contractor in a Managed Service Contract arrangement to explore options currently available. Interested parties are invited to express interest by email to Rachel.evans41@wales.nhs.uk and include contact name; company name; telephone number and contact email address. We plan to hold a virtual supplier presentation day with interested suppliers on 10th May 2022, interested suppliers are asked to ensure their interest is registered by no later than 29th April 2022. Suppliers who register their interest will be allocated a 40 minute slot and are requested to present based on the following remit: - How complete image management will be achieved (scanning, interfaces allowing movement across all health boards freely, linkage, and artificial intelligence). - Storage of specimens in the short, medium, and long term. - Image and data security. - Interfacing with the NHS Wales Laboratory Information Management System and Welsh Clinical Portal. - How proposed contract will satisfy VAT regulations and IFRS 16. - Timelines of implementation of an All Wales solution. - Example sites where supplier is a primary contractor of a managed service contract in this contract area.

It is the intention of the NHS Wales National Digital Cellular Pathology Programme to build on the work of previous phases to proceed with Phase 3 by the introduction of digital capability providing a digitised Digital Cellular Pathology Service for Wales in line with the global direction of travel. This Digital Cellular Pathology service would incorporate:- - The ability for any consultant within Wales, to report and review any case, from any location, at any location, using any device - Full integration into the All Wales Laboratory Information Management System - Full integration into a nationally standardised Voice Recognition System - The routine use of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning Based on this, the remit for the presentation is the following: - How complete image management will be achieved (scanning, interfaces allowing movement across all health boards freely, linkage, and artificial intelligence). - Storage of specimens in the short, medium, and long term. - Image and data security. - Interfacing with the NHS Wales Laboratory Information Management System and Welsh Clinical Portal. - How proposed contract will satisfy VAT regulations and IFRS 16. - Timelines of implementation of an All Wales solution. - Example sites where supplier is a primary contractor of a managed service contract in this contract area.
