This Procurement is to appoint a contractor to undertake the required refurbishment works of the kitchens to floors 2,5 &10 and a new meeting room on floor 5, at McKenzie House.The works comprise of; the construction of new Tea Points on Floor Levels 2, 5 and 10 with the construction of a new meeting room on floor 5 of McKenzie House, 30-36 Newport Road, Cardiff. CF24 0DE. Together with all associated service connections and associated works as detailed in the Tender Specification.A budget estimate for the construction value only has been confirmed as PS60k (Excluding Vat).The building will be live and occupied throughout the proposed programme of works so measures must be taken to ensure staff and students are not impeded or disrupted by excessive noise, dust or vibration and that safe access is always maintained.The site to comprise; Floor levels 2, 5 and 10 of McKenzie House, 30-36 Newport Road, Cardiff. CF24 0DE.The Contractors shall be deemed to have inspected the site, to have taken into consideration all local and existing conditions and to have made themselves thoroughly acquainted with the position and accessibility of the proposed works and the conditions under which they will have to be carried out.
