Notice Description

The purpose of this project is to aid in the restoration of the special habitats of the River Usk SAC & SSSI through removal of the Japanese knotweed.As part of the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority (BBNPA), Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) Project, established in 2018, the INNS Team have recorded locations of Japanese knotweed along the upper sections of the main River Usk and are looking to complete a third year of herbicide control.The next stage of this project is:Follow up herbicide treatment of Japanese knotweed on the 2020 & 2021 treatment sites (approximately 84 sites & 27km of river both banks)
