Description of the goods or services requiredOverview -Lewis Pies Limited make pastry based products for a range of sectors. We pack pieces into crash lock cartons by hand. This is a very labour intensive manual operation. We are looking for equipment to automate or partially automate the packaging of pieces (pies, slices, rolls) into end load cartons for use in retail or Aeroplane use. The current operation is inefficient and we need to greatly increase throughput.Requirement -High Speed End Loading Fully / Semi Automatic Cartoner for Food Packaging for use with multi shaped products.Specifics -Operational Requirements-Labour Saving, superior line efficiency and line speeds on a high range of products and packaging on the machine suited to high volume production requirements and a varying size requirement (Pie, Roll, Pasty).Futureproofed fitting with a standard collation and transfer system to deliver maximum throughput and efficiency covering a wide range of product types or Possible coupling with an infeed transfer system to fully automate the collation and delivery of different types of products directly from a line and into the machine infeed.Accurate and efficient loading of products into the Carton at high speed.Low product snagging on the cartons at high entry speedCompact footprint saving valuable floor spaceOperation and Cleaning of the machine must be easy for the operatorsPerformance -High Performance and Fully or Semi AutomaticQuick change and Easily adjustable to synchronise with various types of product and packagingFlexibility in the type of carton to be used in packagingAdjustable carton magazinesFlexibility in the weight of product to be packedMinimum Box Size range and Maximum Box Size Range data to be providedwith availability of Special Applications beyond the minimum and maximum dimensions upon requestThe Cartoner must run a range of sizes from small single to large and multipack cartons.Potential Automatic Intergration of an in feed systems for any productData Coding Capabilities or addition ofRight and Left VersionsAirline compatible Glue applicator fitted as standard ensuring a clean, reliable and economical glue applicationWarning Beacon to warn operators of carton magazine running lowAccessibility -All mechanical and electronic parts to be easily accessible andvisible so any irregularity can be identified.Easily accessible for cleaning for use with meat, vegetarian and / orPlant Based ProductsManufactured predominantly from Stainless Steel and aluminium Food Grade material in construction suitable for cleaningOperation -Beckhoff PLC Controller or EquivalentAll Information available on screen to be able to view the operation and any possible faults / warningsFull diagnostic fault finderLog File of faults indicated by date and timePossibly remote access service by real time video camera installed into the systemSafe and Quiet in OperationWarning Beacon to warn operators of carton magazine running lowAccessible data feed to external software productMaintenance -Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annual periodic maintenance RemindersSpares Package and subsequent availabilityDelivery and InstallationTraining -On Site training must be provided to include Train the TrainerSupport -Physical and Remote Support available by telephoneAvailability -URGENTNOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=124022.
