Notice Description

This tender is for a contract to provide the Welsh Government with scoping and feasibility work to consider what potential new arrangements for social care market oversight might look like, including feasibility and cost of different approaches and options. This would include where those arrangements might sit and how they might be managed, resourced and used.Part 9 of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 (RISCA) contained provisions relating to national oversight of the social care market. These provisions would require the setting up of a statutory market oversight regime to assess the financial sustainability of specified providers and to inform local authorities if a provider is likely to fail. The Welsh Government has decided, following initial consultation with key stakeholders, not to implement these provisions for now, but to explore alternative non-statutory arrangements for delivering oversight of the social care market.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
