Notice Description

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are seeking to award a contract for the provision of a Dementia Friendly Communities' Coordinator Service.Cardiff and Vale UHB is seeking an organisation with third sector and/or housing association links to provide two co-ordination roles. The service will be essential to input into the monitoring and success of the dementia friendly communities' scheme and to ensure that dementia friendly community areas receive the support that they need to develop further, across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. The coordinators will take their lead from those who are running the Dementia Friendly Cardiff and Dementia Friendly Vale initiatives and will need to develop links with partners in order to achieve this. The aim is to ensure that people with dementia and their carers receive dementia friendly services from venues, services and businesses around them.The awarded bidder will provide:- A supporting role through provision of a Dementia Friendly Communities Coordinators. The Coordinators would support the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan Dementia Friendly Community Steering Groups and be led by the leads for these initiatives in Cardiff and Vale.- A partnership role across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.- Support to an award scheme for dementia friendly services.- Monitoring of performance and outcome measures of the dementia friendly region approach.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
