The Charity seeks to maximise the total return on funds held and the Charity seeks to adopt a conservative policy on risk. The Trust and its Trustees recognise that all investment involve an element of risk. In order to mitigate the risk it will be requested that the investment advisor / managers maintain a diversified portfolio of assets in order to protect the Charity's investments from sudden variations in the market. The Charity currently holds two investment portfolios, which are held at risk level low and low/ medium risk. The time horizon for the investment account is between 5 to 7 years. The total value of the charitable funds currently invested is approximately 6 million GBP and includes asset allocation as set out below Cash Sovereign Fixed Income Corporate Fixed Income Developed Market Equity Emerging Market Equity Private Equity Commodities Absolute Return The value of the investment fund may increase or decrease over time dependent on the resource commitment of the charity and the level of donations being received.",
