The Employer is proposing to procure a successful Contractor to carry out the excavation and removal of circa 10,000m3 of surplus material off-site that exist in 5 number stockpiles on Plot C1, Hawarden Industrial Park, Nr Broughton. The is also a requirement to level and make good an existing waterlogged area, by removing off-site any unsuitable material, and filling the depression with site-won material.It should also be noted that fragments of "Asbestos" has been discovered mainly within Mound No.5, and hence the removal of the surplus material off-site shall comply with all relevant environmental legislation. Therefore, it should be noted that all bidders shall submit a Draft Construction Environmental Management Plan to indicate that they fully understand the key environmental risks associated with the works and the mitigation measures that will be implemented to ensure compliance with the relevant environmental legislation.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
